The new Apple TV is making its way into the consumers’ hands from today and we’re starting to see some big names launch their apps on Apple’s new tvOS platform. The latest announcement comes from Reuters, one of the most popular news sources in the world.

Reuters has had an app called Reuters TV available for iPhone and iPad for a while now and it is by far one of my favorite apps to follow what’s going on around the world. There’s a lot to like about the Reuters TV iOS app and we’ll be showcasing it on Beautiful Pixels very soon.

Today, Reuters is releasing the Reuters TV app for Apple TV. This was one of the first apps that came to my mind when Apple announced the new Apple TV and I’m glad it’s finally here. The Reuters TV app gives you access to on-demand news videos, specially edited for the platform. Unlike traditional media, the Reuters TV app is targeted towards users who just want to catch up with the news at their own time and pace. The app allows you to specify how long you want your bulletin to be, between 10 and 30 minutes.

Unfortunately for us, there’s no word from Apple about the launch of Apple TV in India yet, so we’ll have to wait quite a bit longer to get our hands on one and try out these new apps.
